Thanks, I still find it odd that all the pingbacks that seem to be working are on WordPress sites adding to my suspicion that WordPress and Blogger don’t like each other!

I wrote to Akismet who confirmed that pingbacks only works on WordPress so the only way to make it work is to put the URL link in the comments box. Not as tidy as a ping back but it works.

I had been driving me slightly mad as I could see no logical reason why it wouldn’t work with Blogger but now we know WordPress only pingsback to WordPress.
